Rafael Prikladnicki
I'm a professor and researcher in the Computer Science School at PUCRS and director of TECNOPUC, one of the benchmarking science and technology parks in Brazil, with more than 170 organizations and 7,000 people in 90,000 m2 of built area. As a professor I teach Software Engineering, Agile Methodologies, Entrepreneurship and Science, Technology & Innovation. As a researcher, my current work focuses on distributed software development and agile methods for software development. I also have interested in diversity and inclusion in IT and software startups. In 2011 I received the PhD innovation award, promoted by FAPERGS (the state of Rio Grande do Sul funding agency) for the research on global software engineering, conducted in collaboration with companies at Tecnopuc. I'm also the chair of the IEEE Software magazine advisory board, and one of the founders of the Agile Alliance Brazil (being a member of the Board of Directors from 2013 to 2017).
