Abstract/Description

Change is hard! Are your people and organization ready for the change that comes with learning how to better respond to, well, change? How many times have we heard from a company that they “didn’t realize exactly how much was involved” in becoming more Agile? While many companies want to undergo the journey of becoming more “Agile”, they often aren’t prepared for the sheer number of changes that are required for them to be setup mentally and structurally. When the changes are needed, they could feel overwhelmed and slow (or stop) their overall journey. Some refer to this as the “Missing Link” to a successful Agile transformation!

Bobby Woods, Principal Consultant with Scrum Inc., will be discussing the critical topic of Agile Change Management related to becoming an Agile organization. This goes beyond your typical Change Management concepts. This helps to outline how important it is to help a company prep for the “Agile-based” changes they will need to make, iteratively execute on those changes, align their internal communication learnings with being more Agile and setting themselves up for increased communication paths which will enhance a simplified scaling experience. For Agile Coaches, Leadership, Change Management experts and ALM tool providers this will “change” the way you engage.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Determining what needs to change for the company to embrace change
  • How Emotional Intelligence impacts organizational change management
  • How to implement change management in an Agile way
  • What to measure to continuously improve your change methods
