Charles Collingwood

Dr. Charles Collingwood BIODr. Charles Collingwood is an AP Calculus teacher and Department of mathematics chair at Sahuaro High School in the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). He received a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Arizona. Dr. Collingwood have taught all levels of high school mathematics in over a twenty-year teaching career. With the increasing demand from employers for students who are competentin the STEM fields I think it is important to understand the impact that the content knowledge of leaders have on their ability to lead schools in the STEM. era.Dr. Collingwood is very involved in Culturally Responsive Mathematics both locally and nationally. I have presented my research at numerous conferences including American Education Research Association (AERA) and University Council of Educational Administrators (UCEA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). He is also part of the African American Task Force in TUSD that was working on curriculum and instruction as it relates the issues and concerns of African American students in TUSD
